Three short stories from last week - January 4
Oil Me Up
Two pills Martha, two pills.
Jim this is wonderful I can't believe you got them.
I stood there waiting for such a long time. but in the end, I got them. .Martha should we take them now?
Yes, Jim as soon as we can. Jim, I took the pill, I took the pill. Now take yours.
Martha, I can't find the pill. Martha, where is it?
Jim was such a good man. If only he could have found that pill. We would be together now. But he’s gone.
Hurry Dan, take the pill. Now we can live together forever.
In a plane higher and higher. It's time to jump. My parachute is on I can't, I can't. I feel a push from behind. I'm out, others are around me, but I hear nothing but the wind that is swishing by my ears. When do I tug? Is it time? No one else has opened their chutes. There’s one. Now it’s time. Thump, the chute opens. I'm gliding, I'm gliding through space. I feel more relaxed now. I can see green grass. The ground is getting closer. I’m down, that final hit was more than I expected, but I’m down and safe.
